Reports to:  Executive Vice President Legal, General Counsel (Stockholm)

Position description:

You will be responsible for supporting one of Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s four global business areas as a legal business partner. Furthermore, you will support the Swedish operations and work closely with the General Counsel on group-wide projects. You will be a member of an experienced and global legal team focused on proactively supporting the business.

Main responsibilities:

  • Proactively provide legal advice to a business area on a full range of legal and compliance matters
  • Draft and review contracts and participate in negotiations on various types of matters and contracts
  • Participate in various types of group-wide projects, including M&A processes
  • Provide legal and compliance trainings to employees within the group
  • Assist in litigation matters
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization


  • Master in Law from a Nordic jurisdiction
  • 5-10 years’ experience from a reputable law firm and/or in an in-house counsel role
  • Excellent and broad understanding and knowledge of a variety of legal topics including  commercial contracts and M&A
  • Experience from negotiating complex commercial contracts
  • Ability to understand the commercial landscape and strongly driven by business needs
  • Outgoing with integrity
  • Pragmatic with a can-do attitude and able to work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English and Swedish both oral and written. Finnish language skills are seen as an advantage
